Lately I been goin out a bunch, getting all geared up for my show on Saturday.  Yesterday I went to the Gran Rapids CD release party which was dope.  It was at Dante's, which is a bar/club I've never been too but the place is nice.  It's got a few floors, pool tables, a dance floor (obviously) and plenty of rooms to just chill. 

The thing I liked about this release party was it wasn't a normal hip hop show, with a few different acts going on.  Instead it was just Gran Rapids rockin and then a party for the rest of the night. 

Then tonight I went to The Comet to watch Sex Panther perform, which is the group I'm rockin with on Saturday. They put on a good show and, since I never saw them perform before, it was good to feel it out and see what they're like live. 

I like The Comet.  That place is kinda grimy and I like it that way.  It doesn't matter what night of the week it is, you get the feeling people just wanna kick it and drink. 




It's the type of place that makes me want to drink whiskey on the rocks.  Get that beer away from me I just want hard liquor.

It's not a dive bar really, but it kinda reminds me of one.
