Oct. 3 Show Reeeeecap

My show last Saturday went great!  There were plenty of people there and I feel like I did pretty well.  As I wrote before, I was super nervous because I was rockin over some of my own beats, one of which I had never performed to before.  I wasn't sure how the beats would sound on the big speakers.

I kept thinkin back to a few months ago when I made this beat, it sounded fine at my crib but then when I played it in my homie's whip it  sounded really muddy on the low ends.  Like the bass was super muffled.  I was worried some of my beats would sound like that at the show on Sat.

That is why I spent the whole month leading up to the show getting my beats ready, learning how to EQ better to take out that mud.  All the hard work paid off because, to my pleasure my, beats sounded great on that loud soundsystem.  That was honestly what made me happiest, just to rock over my own beats and know that they were sounding pretty ill.

I mean, there is always room for improvement but thank goodness they didn't sound crappy.  Thank goodness people weren't lookin at me like I'm crazy like,

"What the hell type of beat is this cat rapping over it jus sounds off!"

Also, DJ Rise held it down for me nicely.  He is a ill DJ and his crew, Fresh Ave, has a show coming up in only 2 days, peep:

Shouts to everyone at The Cornerstone who showed love!  Faire Gallery is the spot to be.
