Tons of Rain

This is nice.  It's my day off, I'm sitting here at this coffee shop, it's raining hard outside, I have a comfortable long sleeve shirt on with a hood over my head, I have a dope Macbook I'm using to write this blog and best of all I'm sipping a good cup of coffee.  Even the music they're playing right now is pretty good.  If it was some type of metal I could just plug my headphones in and listen to something else but still, it's nice to hear something different that I like.  I don't have a clue who the artist is so I can't clue you in.

There is something I like about these rainy Seattle days.  As long as you're dressed for the weather, it can be really relaxing.  Also, the rain makes the coffee taste better.  That is not purely psychological either.  The owner of Herkimer Coffee told me rain really does bring out the flavor in the beans.

There you go, ya learn something new every day.

Speaking of Herkimer, it is a great coffee house in the U District

I haven't been there for probably a year, but I used to hit it up all the time because it was right next to the telemarketing spot I worked at.  In fact, Herkimer's drip was the only good memory I have from that job.  Telemarketing was truly awful.  It was the second worst job I've ever had, and I won't even discuss the #1 spot.

One of the reasons I don't mind the rain is cuz I don't think it rains here nearly as much as people say.  If it poured every day I'm sure I would get sick of it.  But I still feel like a rainy day stands out around here.  Sure, the sky stays gray all winter, but as far as there being tons and tons of rain, I don't buy it.

Then again, when it is pouring out and I am walking to work, I'm miserable.  I guess I only enjoy the rain when I am relaxed, warm and drinking coffee.
