I'm in Spokane for the weekend and it was a crazy drive over here.  I found some cat on Craigslist who was headed in the same direction so I caught a ride with him.  If you on a budget, this is one of the best ways to travel.  It's cheaper than the bus, way quicker and far more comfortable.  The bus takes takes like 8 hours to go from Seattle to Spokane.  That is entirely too long, it should really only take 4 or 5 hours.  Plus you have to worry about being attacked by the weirdos sitting around you. 

My homegirl told me she heard some guy got his head chopped off on a bus just last summer.  I try not to think about these things though.

Flying is obviously the best way to travel but my little trip to Spokane costs over $200 round trip, which is ridiculous.  Sometimes I don't have that kind of dough to break up. 

When I find a ride it usually works out pretty well.  I get to ride in a car instead of a hot, smelly bus.  The trip is fast and all you gotta do is split the gas money.  Of course you have to hope the person you're riding with is good company. 

The person I was with today talked about a wide variety of topics such as: hang gliders, motorcycle gangs, scuba diving, online dating and much more.
