I can't remember if I've posted about these cats recently, I probly have, but I just wanna clue more people in to one of the hottest groups in Seattle: Fresh Espresso.




P Smoov, the producer of the two, is a monster on the beats and I would place him in the top 5 illest producers in the town.  He is right there underneath all the greats (and I actually think he's better than some of the local greats but that is yet to be seen).  

Then there is the other aspect about them that is super dope.  They rap about coffee!  Check the song "Espresso" at the top of their MySpace page (myspage aint dead) to see what I mean.  Who woulda thought you could write a great rap song about espresso shots and foam.  They manage to pull it off without makin it sound at all corny.  Obviously this holds a special place in my heart since I currently work at a coffee shop and even though I kinda hate my job, I still love coffee!  I hate almost everything about my job except for the coffee (and the people I work with of course, shouts to the Starbux homies). 

I'm sick of all the lousy pastries, including the brand new ones that I've barely had the chance to eat.  I hate those fuckin sleaves that go around the cups, I hate whip cream now, especially the smell, and somehow I don't even like the color green anymore.  It's sad when you no longer like the color of planet earth.  But despite all this, I still love coffee.  Drip coffee, lattes, the smell of coffee beans, eating coffee beans straight, I will never hate these things.
