Tonight I might go to Art Walk downtown (it's on the first Thursday of every month) but I'm not sure.  I think I'm gonna get a new piece of gear for makin beats!  It all sparked off from a realization I had the other night while listening to J Dilla's record Donuts.



He is obviously super nice with the samples and his drums bang too.  I was listening to Donuts, drifting off to sleep and I realized I need to get some sort of drum pad to bang out my drums.  I currently do it on my keyboard and, while this is sufficient, picturing Dilla tap out all his drums on some nice MPC pads made me realize I needed my own drum pads NOW. 

Also, the other day I was browsing online and I seen this cat questioning if you bang out your drums on your keyboard, couldn't you make one of the keys go dead?  Afterall, keyboards aren't meant to be banged on like that.  The last thing I want is one of my keys dying becuz I love my keyboard.  Here is a pic of what I'm about to get:
