Draw Now, Right Now

Today was my day off and I had a great one.  When I woke up, the first thing I did was drew.

That's right, I'm learnin how to draw.  This has been something I've always wished I could do but, unfortunately, I was awful at art in grade school.  My complete lack of drawing ability made me lose all confidence by the time I was finished with 2nd grade.

The other day I copped this great book titled, Draw Now: 30 easy exercises for beginners.  It is the perfect learning tool, way better than any teacher I had in grade school.  Not to dis my grade school teachers but I wish they could've thought of a way to encourage me to keep going at drawing and not give up.

Don't get me wrong, I believe 100% that people should take responsibility for themselves, instead of throwing the blame for anything they lack on other people...but if you're in second grade I think you should get tons of encouragement to stick with things.  Anyways, what's done is done, this tangent is done and my childhood didn't suck so it is all good.

That's the book.  I really have no desire to draw cats but, you get the picture.  Corny jokes homie I got lots of them.

I am really enjoying learning how to draw and I find that it hasn't taken away any of my beat making time, it is just another good way to expand my mind.  Eventually I will start putting my drawings on this website but I won't subject you to that until I get good.
