A Moment of Inspiration
Yesterday I went to the Faire Cafe to participate in the greatness that is The Cornerstone Open mice.
HA! I meant to write Open Mic but it came out Open mice. I kept it because, let's face it, open mics are dope but open mice sounds even better.

Take Mickey for example. This is a mouse who clearly is not afraid to get open with his emotions. He really lets it all out and it takes courage to kick the truth the way Mickey do. He is an open mouse and, as much as I love an open mic, open mice definitely have more appeal. Mickey is the main character for a billion dollar corporation (eh maybe millions but who's counting) and The Cornerstone, let's jus say we're still working to reach those heights.
To quote one of my favorite rappers, Andre 3 Stacks:
I'm Sorry yall, I often drift...
Back to what I was sayin, at the beginning of every Cornerstone they have poetry. Now I never been that into traditional poetry and certainly not acapella spoken word, but while I was I was sitting there listening to everyone kick their poems, I must have gotten inspired cuz I thought of my own little piece. I almost jumped up and said my poem out loud but the rational part of my brain told me not to. I'm goin to throw that rationality out the window tonight and put my poem right here instead:
There once was a cat named Tay,
who worked and worked all day.
He knew he was best,
but people just slept,
and then in the end he got paid!
