Think Outside The Blog

Wow, here I am at my 300th post.

I'm fully prepared
for glory

I better make this big.  I better make it exciting...it's gotta be somethin to remember...300 posts baby!

Or I could jus make it a regular post about how my day was.  I'ma opt for the latter.  Don't get me wrong, I like to think big, but not when I'm makin entries.  I try to save my big thoughts for real life situations.  I'm tryin to think outside the blog.

Today I finished my Michelangelo book, The Agony and the Ecstasy.  This is easily the best book I ever read.  I gotta admit I got pretty emotional reading the last four pages.  The book is about Michelangelo's life, so of course you know he's gonna die...but even considering how good the entire book was, I had no idea it'd be so heart wrenching at the end.

In tribute to this fantastic novel, a bunch of my Quotes Of The Day are gonna be straight outta those pages.  Today's quote comes shortly after Michelangelo finishes The Last Judgment.  A painting he did on the wall of the Sistine Chapel

Quote Of The Day

So God made man in his own image, made him in the image of god.  Man and woman both, he created them.
And God saw all that he had made, and found it very good.

Michelangelo turned his attention back to his painting on the altar wall.  He saw all that he had made, and he found it very good.
