Timeless, Classic
I'm still workin on my Michelangelo book. I know, I know, I'm a super slow reader. But hey I'm at the end and I'm startin to pick up the pace. Sadly, I will soon be finished with my all time favorite book.
I really get sick of people who disagree with me when I claim the value of art lies largely on its ability to be long lasting. It might sound corny to say I get sick of cats who disagree with me, but on this particular point, it jus annoys me when people don't get what I'm tryin to say.
In regards to this, today's Quote of the Day is straight from the words of the author, Irving Stone.

there he is surrounded

Quote of the Day
His figures were familiar friends: the Dawn, the Dusk, the Virgin: for although they were not fully born, they were alive in the marble, thinking, telling him what they felt about the world, just as he spoke to them and through them, of art as man's coninuity, the eternality that ties together the future and the past; a means of conquering death: for as long as art lives, man does not perish.
