A Free Show That Is Crackin Too...Is That Possible???
Ya know how sometimes you'll be walkin' around, minding ya own business, and you hear the sound of music nearby so ya figure,
"What the hell, I might as well check it out..."
That happened to me tonight and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was some dope party rockers called Champagne, Champagne. I had heard alot about them recently but aint get the chance to see 'em until las' night.
They murdered that shit. The crowd was lovin' it! The only thing I don't really get is these crazy hip-scenester/coke-type crowds. I see these people walkin' around town all the time and ya can always spot them but damn, being in a packed club full of them...that's completely different. It's like everyone's mad skinny and has crazy fashions that wouldn't make sense if they was worn anywhere besides right there, right at that moment.
Ladies and gentlemen, exhibit A:

nah on the real Champagne,Chamapagne's fans don't take it close to this far
This is beside the point tho, their fanbase doesn't completely consist of scenester types by any means and they got some bugged out beatz 4sho!
Ya know what? I actually met the producer for this group cuz he used to work at Sonic Boom Records. He was mad cool, took my estrella cds and put them on the shelf and we talked hip hop for a minute. Then he played me some of his songs he had been workin' on with his homie (these were actually Champagne, Champagne songs, but I dunno if they had even named the group at this point tho) and I was thinkin,
"Damn these joints are actually pretty crackin...'"
Now look at em', ten months later and his group is officially doin' it real nice here in Seattle. I got this theory that often times, the most talented and successful cats are the most humble, down-to-earth types and this is jus one example of that.

Mark was also in The Blood Brothers, a now-defunct local rock outfit that was a big deal for sure.
