I Got New DVDs To Watch But I Still Aint Seen Iron Man
I am super close to being done with the Taybot/Phil&Numberman Mixtape so, as you could guess, I'm pumped! Just the thought of not having to telemarket no more makes me happy and the consequence is I actually been killin' it on the phones. I guess it's cuz I'm relieved I won't have to be there too much longer. Besides, I wanna go out with a bang. I wanna leave the telemarketing spot with #1 sales, at the top of the charts, like when Hov left after Black Album or when MJ left the first time.
Now that I got this studio gear at the crib, I been recording songs like mad. I got some joints, my only problem is the sound is kinda lousy. I'm kinda wack at mixing these songs down and I can't make my voice sound super clean. It sounds nothin' like a real studio. That's what I need to work on tomorrow. Instead of jus recording a new song. I need to work on makin' it sound tight. Someone remind me to do that please...shoot me a text or somethin'.
Shouts to Numberman for lending me two DVDs, The Industry and The Secret.
The Industry is a film about the hip hop industry so the title is actually is spelled incorrectly (of course). On the DVD cover it's, THE iNDUSTRY.
I WOUlDnT WANt to FORgET ThaT!!!)
I guess it's supposed to be motivational for rappers. I will check it out this weekend and give ya a full report. As for The Secret, I'm not even gonna bother describing what it is. Most of ya probly know anyways. I never seen or read it but I can already tell it's bout to be super corny. The strange part is, super corny, motivational reading material is the type of stuff I'm a sucker for. I eat it up so I'm sure I'ma love The Secret, which is probly nothin' more than motivational speaking, only really simple and dumbed down for the masses.
Today's Quote Of The Day is from this super cynical, negative cat I be workin' with. He's always tellin' jokes and he cracks me up, not really cuz his jokes are funny, but just cuz he's so negative, sarcastic and pissed off. Basically his brain is the opposite of The Secret.
Here is a nice gem I heard him say immediately after getting off the phone with a random stranger he spoke to for less than 20 seconds.
"You're so stuck up you can't even function in society."
