My Realization

I think today is an appropriate day to discuss the realization I recently had.

I was at work selling magazines and while I was on the phone (it is after all, a telemarketing job) I decided to flip thru some literature for entertainment.

I do need entertainment at this job.  The blue computer screen aint really crackin.  Jus constant blue, full of names of random strangers so you know who you're harassing.

The closest magazine was ESPN so I picked that up and started browsing thru it.  Just so yall know, I LOVE magazines.  I'm usually reasonably entertained by almost any type of magazine.

So it was real surprising when after 3 minutes of flippin thru ESPN I realized I aint care about nothin in the issue.  That magazine is sposed to be entertaining and I can see why cats would love it, as I'm usually feelin the entertainment type of magazines.

You know what tho?  What it all comes down to is I'm jus not that into sports.  People talk about sports all the time and I play along and try to chop it up too.  But on some real shit, I realized that deep down I don't really give a damn about this stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the filthy athleticism and there's some stuff I like.  I like watching basketball kinda, I'll fucks witit if it's a good game.  And I'll watch some gymnastics cuz the shit they do is crazy.  I LOVE skateboarding but that don't count really.

What I'm sayin is, tho I can be entertained by it in short spurts (an hour tops),  I could never live the sports lifestyle.  Read all the stats, stay up on the win/loss column etc.  In fact, tryin to live like that would make me sick.

No hate to all you sports fans!  (the vast majority of heads I know)   Everybody gotta have their thing, and sports aint any less dope than music in the big scheme, but in the small scheme, which is my brain, musik is where it's at.
