R.I.P
Today I was having a great day, I really was. It was me, Praxis and Estrella (the real Estrella, I mean the woman, not the group which is comprised of myself and Praxis), so basically it was estrella and Estrella.
We rolled to the homies spot to record for the upcoming mixtape which hopefully you all know about by now, The Taybot/Phil&Numberman Mixtape.
Everybody killed it. I was starting to lose faith in Prax cuz he been hecka busy with grad school and everything. I thought maybe his rap game would be slippin.
Luckily that aint the case. I can tell he's still on his grind writing lyrics and spitting cuz he brought it in the booth today.
As for Estrella, she has a gorgeous voice and really blessed the beat. It's gonna be the cut I think cuz it has some ill story telling and then a fresh hook with harmonies and everything. I woulda sang it myself but I'm trapped in my own mind, which means I'm still singing like a caged bird.

They ask why does the caged bird sing? I say if you're a caged bird you shouldn't sing at all because you just can't compete with the pure soul that comes from being truly free.
The day was goin' great until I had to run to catch the bus to make it to Street Sounds. I was not just running, I was booking it down a hill.
To my horror my iPod done fell outta my hoodie pocket. I watched in slow motion as it hit the ground and slid across the sidewalk. Now it doesn't work...at all.
She was a good iPod. I had her for years...she was trustworthy, never broke down on me and never did me wrong. Why I had to be so stupid as to sprint with her in my hoodie pocket is anyone's guess. All I know is I long to retrace my steps, to go back in time and I would never treat her with that kind of disrespect.
To give my own twist to Hov's lyrics on Song Cry,
"They say you can't fix a bad electronic device but once a good electronic device goes bad, it's gone forever..."
