I really wasn't planning on getting all political anti-Thanksgiving steez on my blog.  That'd be hecka hipocrite of me cuz I celebrate every year but then I got this email and I had to post some of it.



These are a couple excerpts from A Day To Give Thanks? by Ward Churchill.  I wanted to keep it super short just to ensure cats have time to read it. 





You know how people's attention spans are nowadays, shorter than Mugsy Bogues...





Does anyone really expect us to give thanks for the fact that soon after the Pilgrim Fathers regained
their strength, they set out to dispossess and exterminate the very Indians who had fed them that
first winter?



It's no mystery why Indians don't observe Thanksgiving. The real question is why do you feast
rather than fast on what should be a national day of mourning and atonement.





I just think it's crazy that Indians don't celebrate at all while I get down year after year.   



I definitely aint as political as I used to be, but I hate the fact that hecka people on this planet get fucked all the time and these excerpts seem like a good enough reason why I should stop celebrating Thanksgiving.  (honestly tho I probly won't hold myself to that)
