Street Sounds Update! August 19
KEXP Street Sounds last Sunday was...real interesting.
For one thing, hella people came thru the studio. From Miz and the RLC to Soul Gorilla peeps to the hot group duolive, the place was definitely crackin.
For one thing, Real Life Click came in and completely aired out the beef they got with Dyme Def.
I know hella heads have been talkin bout this lately and alotta cats been shittin on RLC straight up. I aint really taking sides either way but I will say that RLC came way tougher on those joints than cats gave em credit for.
Dyme Def tho...they crackin!
On the real, I'm no hater of beef. It's coo with me cuz it makes the local scene even more entertaining than it already is and besides, beef been a part of hip hop since the beginning. There aint nothing wrong with that I aint mad.
Another thing is, so many cats be up in the studio at Street Sounds or wherever else and talk shit about other artists/rappers but they never say names. At least RLC is down to call cats out.
I'm down with beef but damn it better not get taken to the street cuz that's when shit gets wack. I aint trying to see any more talent get locked up or worse, and neither is nobody else.
We are all grown folks so pleaze keep it on wax...well it's 2007 so please keep it on mp3!
In other news, duolive came in the studio and talked about their upcoming album, The Color of Money.
These cats got mad soul and also crazy grind, all these cats who claim they hustle could learn a thing or two or three from duolive cuz this crew repeatedly drops hot music and aint bout to quit anytime soon.
Hmmm why can I not get enough of that Saigon joint we stay playin?
C'mon Baby C'mon Baby C'mon Baby WHAT?!!! Here is the pic of him grillin like it's summertime BBQ...

I'm bout to rock to that beat at my show comin' up this Sunday at Artoleptic Festival.
Pleaze come peep the show!
Remember, it's downtown Seattle at the corner of Western & Yesler, I go on between 3-6:00.
Thanks for reading and remember you can stream Street Sounds online for the next two weeks at www.kexp.org.
