The ill Thursday at High Dive
I had my show at The High Dive last night and it was dope!
Last night was one of the first times I can remember seeing my name on anything official. Of course we had to take a pic for the world o' memorabilia....I know this is hella blurry but peep game:

AAAAAHHHHHH YEAAAAAAHHHHHH IT'S OFFICIAL NOW BABY!!!!!
At first, at around 10:00, I thought it was gonna be wack cuz there was only like 5 people there. Honestly, I barely promoted for it. We didn't even have a flyer! I was out on the street selling cds every day but couldn't even promote for my show cuz there was no flyer.
My first order of business now is making sure I got filthy flyers for every show I have. Put me on the street with a thousand ill looking flyers and IT'S OVER!
Anyways, back to the show las night. Travis T of Eastern Sunz went on first. Eastern Sunz are a dope environmentalist hip hop group. If you are wondering what environmentalist hip hop sounds like check them out here.
Next was a local crew called Biomecca. They are good doods so checkem out at this link.
I ended up closing out the night and luckily there was no technical malfunctions (for once). Toby, the soundguy, is great at what he does and Numberman (spins 4 me) is killin it lately.
I'm still trying to figure out which of my songs really work live and which ones the crowds aint feelin. Sometimes I'm ready to just get rid of a song completely cuz the crowd isn't really into it. The thing I gotta remember is, some songs will sound fantastic on a record, but not so hot live. To me it's equally, if not more important, to have hot album songs. That means I can't be dumping songs quite yet.
Up to this point I have felt like, as a solo artist, I have been able to hold down the crowd, to keep their attention and keep them at the front, but never really ripped it, if u know what I mean. I gotsta say, last night was the closest I've come to really rocking the crowd. I had them doing chants and stuff, getting into the music & coming up to the stage, so that felt good.
I need to get more photos of these events.
I know I said this before, but wait'll I get my camera...a pic is worth a thousand words so there's gonna be enough words to fill a Harry Potter novel.

I'm glad you rocked it Thursday night Tay. Would have liked to go down, but my accounts are always near the red. Keep grinding it out.
