Highway
The first half of yesterday was pretty wack as far as sales go, nobody wanted to cop the good mixtape. It's all good tho, I don't even let that get me down no more.
I ate a slice, took a brief nap at the table I was eating at (haha how come I can't sit in one place for more than 5 minutes without falling asleep) and then was back at it pounding the street.
I was trying to sell to this one lady at the bus stop, when a bus rolls by and opens the door. The busdriver yells, "What are you selling?" I'm like, "A CD." He's like, "Get on the bus."
"Nah I don't want to take the bus, I'm walking. Will you buy a cd?"
"Get on the bus."
So of course I hop on the bus. The busdriver cops a cd, gives me a FREE TRANSFER, and then drops me off one block later. He said he likes helping people out.
It was really nice of him, but I wonder if maybe that was his last day on the job, he was pissed off at his boss, and was using people's bus fair to cop my mixtape? Or maybe that's just the pessimist inside of me talking.
We shot a scene for Redskin the General's upcoming video for the Highway joint. All I can say is Skin is doin it real serious this time. It was professional, with two trucks full of equipment and a director callin all the shots.
We shot on the roof of the KEXP building. It's me and some of Seattle's finest just vibing out to the song. The sky was clear and you can see the big KEXP sign from the top. It was alot of fun and I think it'll look great, plus nobody slipped off the ladder when they was climbing up to the roof.
Us hip hop folk are way more agile than we look!
