The show was off the hook!
All is said and done and the show last night ended up being very very dope.
Initially, Scribes & I were hella nervous about the turnout. We weren't sure how hard everyone hustled on promotion and getting their homies to come out.
The L.A.B is such a dope venue, it feels like a huge waste if you don't pull people to the show. It's the type of place you look at and think, "Wow this spot could be ill if you packed it out..."
We didn't quite pack it out, but it was definitely full. Here are some of the highlights:
- Knowmads killen it on what I believe was one of their first ever sets. They had the crowd waving their hands in the air side to side like a bunch of pros.
- The homie Sam and the other hosts holding down the stage proper before my set, while we had technical difficulties to get my beats playing. They was bringing the beatbox, the freestyles, even some jokes, anything to kill time!
- Phil Harmonic drawing the biggest crowd and ripping the mic.
Now for the lowlight:
- Someone called the cops so the popo slid thru at the end of the night and I believe someone got a MIP too.
Besides that, everyone had a blast. I really do love these all ages cuz the kids aint scared to have fun! I saw cats drinking in there, which was weird cuz the L.A.B feels like a family venue.
There was even a fog machine.
You know you made it in the game when you are rocking with fog in the background.
