Back from Goldendale
What's up everyone,
I just got back from Goldendale the other day and I have to say it was off the hook.
These camps are so much fun, but it is tough to explain, it's one of those "ya gotta be there experiences." Alot of these kids I was working with don't have much support from fam and people at skool.
It is ill being able to help them write raps, let them express themselves, and seeing their faces light up when they realize they are actually good at writing rhymes & spitting.
It is crazy talking to these kids and finding out about their lives. Some of them have parents who get up mad early to go pick cherries. It's a way different life than what most of us know. I hear so many stories and get so inspired as an artist. Feel me?
We spent the last night at this woman's crib on a farm and I slept under the stars. I aint done any sort of camping in a long time. Honestly I usually don't like camping too much, but this was tight for some reason. The sky was crazy big and we was all looking at the sky, debating how fast sattelites move.
There were peacocks on the farm and those things can scream so loud! I was bouts to fall asleep like 3 times only to be woken up suddenly to blood curdling peacock calls.
The drive home took forever though. Somehow we made what should've been a 3 hour drive take like 4 hours. We stopped to use the restroom, get gas and get lunch. Can someone tell me why beef patties at Burger King smell like tuna?
Shouts to the homies Steph, Anne and Mohamed for making that car ride go quick tho. We didn't bump any music during the entire drive, instead it was all deep conversations about the struggle and my wackass singing.
Aight I'm gonna post tomorrow probly. Thanks for reading! Have a good Monday.
