Headed to Goldendale
What's up everyone,
So much stuff has been going on lately. I am still waiting for my mixtapes to come in so I can start slinging them like mad. They are gonna look ill, they will have real saran wrap plastic around them so that means it's official!
Next week I am gonna be a camp counsellor at a daycamp out in Goldendale. This is an agricultural community in south central Washington, with a population of approximately 3,700 people. I will be doing writing/freestyle workshops. It should be dope, I'll kick it with the kids and other cats working, have a week to make a change in this crazy world...then it's back to seatown to focus on music.
Friday was the Youthspeaks BBQ/open mic. Youthspeaks is a dope organization that encourages youth to write poetry. I was hella excited about performing at the open mic but on my first joint I ran outta breath really bad. It was definitely not crackin.
I'm gonna start working on my breath control 4sho.
Today I wrote an ill song with the homie Sheldon. He is a real good dude, from Seattle but now he goes to school up Bellingham. He can really sing. At first I was thinking, yea he is nice with it live but can he kill it in the booth?
Today he played me his demo and that smashed all doubts.
I have a show coming up on Friday the 13th of July. We couldn't think of any catchy horror name for it so we're just calling it The Friday the 13th Show. The promotion for this one is never gonna die like Jason Voorhees.
Numberman, my homie who makes my beats, is gonna DJ for me. He is hella weird, he makes really weird comedy skits, but I'm not gonna do any weird stuff on stage. He might want to but that is not gonna happen cuz it's a Taybot show! (He is the homie tho)
